Christine and I were engaged in 1973. We met while we were working in Brunei Shell. She was a nurse at the Panaga hospital. I was staying at the SRC bachelor flats, next door and working at the wireline workshop at NIA, under Pat de Alwis. I was a wireline operator servicing those land wells at Anduki, doing wax cutting and running Amerada surveys using small portable Mathey units on a trailer pulled by a Land Rover.Thursday, August 11, 2005
